Brahmatal Trek
The Brahmatal Trek is located in the depths of the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Mt. Trishul, Mt Nanda Ghunti, and Mt. Khamet are some glorious peaks that can be seen from there.
This trek is open during the winter season, unlike the other treks which remain closed due to various reasons. You will be able to walk through a beautiful forest that is home to various species of birds and old oak trees.
During the summer season, the trails fill with colorful rhododendrons and during the winter season, the snow cloaks it.
The Brahmatal trek begins from the base of Lohagunj. The Brahmatal campsite situates wonderfully with the snow-cap mountains as a background and the Brahmatal Lake is just a few meters from there.
This is the same lake where Lord Brahma did their meditation centuries ago. The whole trek is fairly easy but can be a bit challenging during winters owing to heavy snowfalls.
Goecha La Trek
The Goecha La Trek is situated deep inside the Kanchenjunga National Park. You can get dangerously close to the third highest mountain range in the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga.
But, that is not the only fascinating thing there. So many famous mountain tops appear life-sized during the trek. You can get the honor of even camping at the base of some of them, like Mt. Pandim.
The whole trek can be thrilling as you would have to cross long suspension bridges, visit a monastery at 3000 m, and get to see a serene lake.

Kedarkantha Trek

It is situated at a height of 12,500 ft and the base offers some panoramic views to all travelers. The Kedarkantha Trek takes about 6 days to complete and starts from Sankri till Shepherd Camp.
There is a pond on the way named Juda-ka-Talab and it offers an amazing opportunity for all photographers to capture some beautiful sights. You will camp for one night at the Kedarkantha Base Camp and that night will be a memorable one.
The whole trek is about 20 km but is not recommended to beginners as the high altitudes can pose some challenges. You can go on this trek at any time, except the monsoon season.
Kuari Pass Trek
The Kuari Pass Trek is in Joshimath. The meaning of ‘Kuari Pass’ is ‘The Doorway’. It indeed is a doorway to some of the most enchanting views of one best Winter Treks in India. one might ever come across.
Situated at an altitude of 3876 m, this trek passes through dense forests covered with oak trees, beautiful rhododendron flowers with layers of snow.
The peaks of Kamet, Dronagiri, Trishul, Berthold, Hathi Ghodi Parvat, Mana, and Neelkanth are all visible from there, which makes the whole experience more enthralling.
Beginners, as well as experienced trekkers, can embark on this journey. The months of December to March are covered with pristine white snow and are hence the best time to go there. The whole experience will be rejuvenating for all.
